  • Am I Eligible?

    To be eligible, you must:

    • Adult residents of San Diego County who are at least 19 years old, have successfully completed 8th grade and wish to earn their high school diploma. Minors should pursue their high school education through existing high school programs.
    • Program applicants must have a library card or be willing to apply for a library card. If you do not have a library card yet, you can obtain one for free at your nearest San Diego County Library branch or email libraryhighschool@sdcounty.ca.gov to request a temporary library card number.

    Time & Effort

    • Finish your first course in 2 weeks
    • Plan to spend 8–10 hours per week on your courses
    • Graduate in an average of 12–14 months
    • Take up to 18 months to graduate

    Transfer Credit

    You can transfer in credit from past schools, the GED®, or the HiSET® to graduate faster. We will show you how to request transcripts.
